Patience & Hope
We started this year with the planting of organic red and white potatoes. James drove the tractor while Jane sat behind on the potato planter, which is hauled behind the tractor, throwing in cut up seed potatoes every foot. We cut up 900 pounds! That’s a lot of potatoes and the most we have ever planted.
In the nursery our first seedlings are planted and we are watering each day and waiting for the little babies to come up. This is a time of quiet and expectation, when we plant our seeds and think about what is to come. If anything. Balanced with the expectation is always a doubt as to whether anything will sprout. A time to cultivate patience and hope.
